I have heard of pallet furniture but I am interested to know if there are other cheap home options through crafts. I would love to see pictures and examples.

I have to admit to not knowing about pallet furniture, but some of my larger wooden games, originate in Brittany, where they were known as pallet games, simply because, when nothing else was available, or affordable, the games were made from old pallets.
It will be interesting to see if this thread throws up any other examples.

Love that wine rack.
Alas, if the pallets at our place aren't broken, we use them all.
What an interesting topic!Karin

I built a outdoor bench for my bonai trees from 2 pallets. cut them in half, made legs, a middle shelf and a top shelf.
Sadly it has now rotted, and been replaced by 2 mini green houses, but it was an achievement when I had no money and did the trick for many years. If you dont have a go ................... you will never know

Actually pallet wood can be very nice -- no idea what actual tree it is, but some of it looks like a hardwood. Probably ideal for furniture. Some of it rubbish tho.I'm selling my art and craft work here:

and my latest work for sale is this one: http://www.artulis.com/products/Art/...0Style%20Signs
