Ok, so i've kind of done it.....
The idea behind us having a website is so that we have somewhere to show off the kind off thing we do....
I haven't really gone for the shopping cart type site as apart from tearing my hair out with it, what we really wanted was a site to showcase some of our stuff,
We like selling our things at the shopping type events and usually for these they ask for photos/website addresses, before they accept you and also we can give people cards with the address on at these events so that people can contact us etc....
Does that make sense??
Of course you can still buy off the website but i just got in such a stress trying to get my head around what type of layout to have, i kind of went for the simplist.
So i know that the name isn't going to be at the top of the google listings for jewellery but that's not really what we are trying to achieve
I hope you can understand what i'm going on about!!!

Anyway.... I'd appeciate a few comments but please be gentle....

Ok, I've had a really good nosy, just one thing for me, as it is an excellent site. The photos are slow, I've been told that someone will give a page 40 seconds to wait for a photo to appear(don't know if that true but I know I'm not very patient), Anyway, I commented yesterday on another site, its easily solved by reducing file size etc, it gives some advice on what to do.

I've posted the link to the thread from yesterday

Other than that I couldn't find a fault, good luck with it as you have a very nice range, can't wait to see the handbags, fancy going on holiday at such a critical moment.:D

Hi!

Your pieces are lovely and website looks good too - as the others have said, I found your photos' slow and must admit that I have turned off other websites as I can't be bothered to hang around........if you get that sorted, all looks good!!

Beautiful site and beautiful work - again like the rest though the slow loading pictures - is it Mr Site you used cause I think there was a thread the other day adjusting resolution or something like that for faster picture loading.

Apart from that excellent, really well done.

Cheers.

Tar for the comments everyone.
There's still loads of stuff to go on, the other 'designers' (sounds good) have gone and left me for two weeks so i can't get in their houses to photograph their stuff!
Hay Ho best go and get making i suppose, Art on The Prom had a centre page spread in the local paper today advertising it so i'm hoping for a good day on the 2nd if the weather holds!!

Grammar and punctuation on the "Shopping with" page need a little re-work, e.g.
If you would like to commission a piece that is not on the site, ie, if you would like specific colours, then we will make the design up and email a picture to you

should read

If you would like to commission a piece that is not on the site (for example, using specific colours), we will make the design...

"For postage outside the UK, please contact us" - include a link from the words "contact us" to the contact us page.

"Royal Mail first Class" - either "Royal Mail First Class" or "Royal Mail first class".

The "Handbags" link should either go while it's unavailable, but when it is there, it should be after Bracelets rather than at the bottom.

On the first page of bracelets and handbags, I would have a (quick loading!) picture of something there as well as the text, just to show off some of the products a bit more.

Hi,

I just took a look at your site and had to agree with what the others have already said about the slow loading of the pictures. I thought it was very well laid out and the pictures were well done. You have kept good consistency between pages. Maybe have some alternate views of your products. Good job altogether. I bet you are very proud of it!

Sorry - I'm in a "pick holes in things" mood this week.

It's pretty good, and out of all the things I suggested, the only one that I think is a must would be to have lower resolution / small photos that load quicker. You could always put a link in from the smaller picture to an enlarged view, but most people will give up before a page takes a long time to load.
