OK so this isn't strictly wedding crafts but I'm hoping I'll get some advice from some of you who have had orders for wedding invitations...
I'm about to write our wedding invitations and on the invites there's a line for me to write the name of the person(s) receiving the invite, but I'm not entirely sure of the wording/titles to use?
For example, my Mum is Ruth Chapman and her husband is Thomas, so should we put "Mr & Mrs Thomas Chapman" or "Ruth and Thomas Chapman" or "Mr & Mrs T Chapman"...or non of those?!
Is there a "proper" way of doing this?!
I personally would go for Mr & Mrs Thomas Chapman. You could always google it, but at the end of the day it's personal choice. We've just been invited to a wedding where the invitation has come from Otis, the bride's dog!!!

Ploughing through Google just now but it seems to be focussed on the wording of the rest of the invite according to who's hosting rather than the names.
The dog thing is such a wonderful idea, we had to have our beloved dog put to sleep last year but if he was still here I think we'd definitely have done that!
Ah that's sad. Otis even sealed it with a paw print:)

I think for us it depended on the age and how well we knew them. I know we definitely were formal with quite a few, but I did invite people who I knew weren't married and sometimes was unsure of partners name!!

In my head it'll be Mr and Mrs *his name* , or for unmarried couples it'll be "Miss...... & Mr ........"
Just worried about seriously offending anyone by doing it wrong lol

The last invites I've had have been from friends and family and two of them had mine and my hubby's first names on as in 'Patrick & Jan'
I've sent out invites to unmarried couples just using their first names. It doesn't always have to be formal.
I don't think there is a wrong way or a right way, sometimes it depends on your relationship with whomever you are inviting.
