Hi Guys...I am making some lovely, funky keep sake boxes at the moment, but using paper mache boxes. Ideally i want to paint onto wooden boxes, as they are more sturdy...I have searched and searched and just can't find any blank boxes!
I know exactly what I want...any ideas?
Thanks!!:frusty:

Hmmm there is someone on here that does the same, but i think they make the boxes themselves, maybe you could have a go!!
Apart from that, i don't think i've ever seen blank ones.. sorry..

Yep I do them and make the boxes myself. But am sure you can buy blank boxes from places like calicocrafts, see link below:-

I would love to be able to offer to make them for you but I am so snowed under with my own work and orders etc I just know I do not have the time to do this, sorry, plus postage on them is pretty high!!!

If you want round boxes with a recessed lid then this might be of use:

Guys! I have checked a few of those out already, not quite what i am looking for, but i emailed anyway to see if they do bespoke boxes!
I need bigger boxes than you can usually get off the shelf...with a lift off lid, flush with the sides so I can paint the design all over without it being disturbed.
I'll keep looking, cheers!:mf:

Would Ikea do something like that - they have quite a lot of storage boxes you might see something in there.
Cheers.

something like
25cm x 25cm 14cm deep for a small box
35cm x 35cm 17cm deep for a large box
as my painting sits well on a square box, but really, unless i can find someone to make them for me, i can be flexible!!
i am happy with mdf as it's a smooth surface, just not so attractive inside so i would paint...
about 10 of each size at the mo....but more when they get selling!
ohh...good idea i'll get on the ikea website,
cheers!

would suggest trying www.opitec.co.uk (http://www.opitec.co.uk) - BUT go on the site and order a catalogue!!! Site is dreadful to use if just browsing - although a search for boxes will give you SOME of the range!!! I have paper mache and wooden boxes from them, great in that you don't pay until you've got!
Calico crafts have just extended their range of wooden blanks so if you haven't checked recently its worth looking.
