LOL, after confessing on the "lazy sccrappers" thread it just reminded me that I haven't shown my first LO here!! It's also my first circle journal and it took me ALL weekend to do eight 6x6 pages!! Am hoping it gets quicker as I go along, LOL!!

That is really gorgeous, I have loads of chipboard books sitting here, where I keep thinking 'Really must start one' and you've just given me the inspiration.
Really lovely. x

That's a great start.

If you're interested, here is my first LO (http://www.craftisland.co.uk/catalog/gallery.php?cid=1&pid=19&page=3), made about three years ago.

Not so sure about Circle journal but LO stands for Layout. Meaning the layout of a Scrap page.

Thanks all :)

A CJ is a "circle journal" where a group of people buy a small album each and then pass it on to each other in a circle til you each get your own book back after everybody has completed their layout. You have to pick a different theme each which is great fun!!

I really like that idea! Do others put comments etc into your book, or do they just read it?

Think I already said (welcome)to the forum :D - have left a message in your blogger!

I am in three circle journals. It is a long term commitment, as they tend to run for about ten months.

You start of with a blank book (often secured with book rings), the crafter decides on a theme for their journal and then covers the front and back, both inside and out of the covers.

You would normally provide and intro page and this would cover do's and dont's. Perhaps you want it to be acid and lignin free, or perhaps you don't want to use glitter, or maybe anything goes.

You then create a DLO (double page layout) and complete a tag which is normally in the sign-in page at the back of the book.

Then on the designated date you post the journal to the next person. They will then create their own DLO on the theme of the journal and create a tag for the sign-in page. Eventually, you get your book back, full of LOs based on the theme you have set.

The CJs I have on the go at the moment are "Millionaire Dreams", you can see it here (http://www.craftisland.co.uk/catalog/gallery.php?cid=16) before I posted it on. Sweet Tooth (you can see it here (http://www.craftisland.co.uk/catalog/gallery.php?cid=19)), my recent CJ is "I want to be", but I've not got round to uploading it yet.

There is one downside of being in a Circle Journal, and that is some people are very relaxed about posting on the specific date, which is annoying for the person waiting for the delivery of the CJ. But other wise it's a great way to see first-hand how other people scrap.
