Anyone know how to make something like this?

One of my good friends visited Thailand and brought back this bracelet, I am wondering if anyone knows how to make one of these and could explain it in very simple terms, or list a site that guide you through it. As far as I can tell, its black elastic thread with wooden beads. I can't post pictures since I am new to this forum. If anyone has any idea, I can mail to the picture to you. I would really like to make a few as gifts, but am quite new to the "beadcraft" scene. Any help would be great.

I'm sorry, I'm not following... I need some help trying to make a certain kind of bead bracelet. I'm not trying to phish email or anything like that. I just need some help.

Thank you for the welcome, I wish I could show you some handiwork, but I am quite new to bead-type crafts. I would like to start though. I worked quite a bit with 550 (parachute) cording, making bracelets, dog collars, keychains, even a belt. I hope someone knows at least something of what I'm talking about, and that I can eventually get some help here.
