I've made these for a friends daughter who will be turning 6 tomorrow! She's gone off girlie colours so I thought these two materials worked well together!
Let me know what you think!! They are on my blog as I always manage to take up too much room on here with my photo's and get frustrated when I can't get them on the thread!!

there lovely, and your so right, I've just got into making presents for peeps instead of buying, I love having a go at something and its so much more personal too. Especially when you know the recipient will love it.
i cant wait for xmas this year, lots of handmade goodies will be handed out - hehehe x

Oh that's really cool. :) I really envy you people making these things, I don't think I'd be very good at stuff like that.
Firstly - Swirly that folder is soooo cool, do you have to use a stiffener?
Secondly - I can't make pressies for my friends any more .... they do too much cutting out for me so they get to see everything in it's raw stages!
Thirdly - Donster... that Avatar has got to go. Makes me want to raid the cupboard for choccie each time you post !

The pattern said to use interfacing but the only interfacing I had was super thick interfacing which made it quite difficult to manoeuvre through the sewing machine! The pattern also recommends using cardboard to make it stiff but I didn't need it with the thick interfacing!!

Really lovely, she will love them. My little girl starts big school today and she would have loved something like that.
P.S. Donster yep that Avatar makes me sooooo hungry.
Cheers.

Phew - she liked it!! She loved the bag too and has been carrying it round with her. She's arranged the pens I bought her in it too and had drawn 2 pictures - so I'm pleased!! Alex (little girl's mum) has said that once I refine the idea then she will buy some for pressies for parties!!!
Oh Tip Top - yes I do craft parties too! I don't advertise much at the moment but I will be soon!!

Heehee! Sorry! :p I'm a sucker for punishment as it makes me crave chocolate too, seemed like a good idea at the time, I might have to rethink it.
