There are rising bollards in Cambridge city centre, and plenty of YouTube footage of people impaling their cars - I feel no sympathy for them as they all appear to speed up to try to get through. And I know that the ones in Cambridge have plenty of restricted access signs near them.

Just what I needed first thing in the morning :mf:. The guy with the family didn't turn his engine off 'cause his wipers were still going, well and truly stunned.

I agree with you, they definitely speeded up. Can you imagine having to explain what a numpty you'd been!!

And how would you explain that on your insurance claim form!!!! Felt sorry for the guy with the kid in the back but he spead up to beat the things.

I'd feel sorry for them if they are visitors and there weren't many signs to warn, but these are obviously locals.

Oh that made me laugh, great idea tho for the buses but they all definately sped up to get through.

Like you say, they all sped up and went for it. Just glad I only park at Piccadilli !

Did you see the other two guys watching!? I always have a little giggle now when I walk past those bollards and can't resist hanging on for a min or two, just in case!....;)
