On monday i made attempts to connect my Abey card to mt paypal account, all went well(i think/hope) but didnt realise it would take 3-5 days for paypal to do what they have to do for verification.
If it gets verified today(after 3 days), fab, but I need to pay for summit pre friday.
How many of you have set up a card to paypal and can you remember how long it took to verify?

I think mine took about 5 days to get set up but that was for a merchants account.
Do you need to do the same thing if you are buying using Paypal? Why not get in touch with the seller and ask if they take credit cards, if not explain to them the situation. Hopefully you will be verified before then though.
Cheers.

They are in America and dont seem to have the usual payment connection, so it was either send details via email(a big no no), no phonecall was offered, or pay via paypal.
Had a mad rush on saturday depositing enough money into the account, hadnt a clue what I was doing, thought cash would be quicker, but only cleared today!!

Why not try e-mailing them and saying you are waiting to get verified and hopefully you will be by Friday if not could they hold onto your goods until next week.
Cheers.

Yep, thats all been done, she has kindly held onto the order and will send me a paypal request when Im all set up.
Its just she said she was off on Friday and im very impatient and want my goodies now and not have to wait until she gets back(dont know when that will be)!!
Plus I have to wait for the verification so I can then transfer the card money into the paypal account to cover payment.
If it gets verified on the friday, the 5th day, she wont be available to accpet payment and send my goodies off.
Grrr, guess its just me being impatient.

I know it is hard - if you walk into a shop you get your goodies there and then but on line you need to be a little bit more patient and wait for the post. I have to be the most impatient person on the planet and I want them as soon as I order them.
Makes you appreciate what people feel when they order from you so I always make sure I can get an order completed and out as fast as possible.
Cheers.

I agree, thats what I tried to do with my 1 customer.
Then again in perspective of the floods going on in this country, people with no water and wrecked homes, I should stop being silly and just wait.
I hate putting things into perspective!!!

I think Paypal will be able to sort it out - I did something similar only it was with the names, my proper name is Elizabeth but nobody ever calls me that I am just Lisa (or sometimes many things worse!). Forgot about that and had to change everything. They asked me to fax details through and sorted it out then and there.
Fingers crossed.
Cheers.

Pheeeeyooooooo.
I had a look on my profile and my bank account info was on there, plus it said on the checklis that details had been completed.
Seemed all I had to to do was enter some business info, which I did then it said I was verified!!
Transfer is going to take 7-9 days!!!Im sure I read that it was instantaneous!!

I am sure it is too because I pay for my scents through paypal and get a lot from the US and the payment goes through straight away. I usually get the goodies about 5 days to a week later and that is being shipped from the US.
Cheers.

Now the lovely lady in America has been very patient but has emailed me to say along the lines of I need ot pay today or she wont hold the order any more.Fair nough.
My paypal details say itl clear today, fingers crossed, but ...I recently read that money does not have to be actually in the paypal account as long as its got a card connected to the account the money will come out automatically.
So have I been waiting nearly 2 weeks for nothing!!?

You might be right about that because you can use paypal if there is no funds in the account - it will take it out of your verified bank account. As long as your bank account is verified you should be able to transfer funds through Paypal.
Hope you get your delivery - the lady in America certainly is patient.
Cheers.

She's been a diamond so I feel really bad.
Ive just emailed paypal to see.
Id like plenty of money in my account to cover the cost, just incase, Id hate there to be any hiccups, maybe im being over cautious.

Paypal got back to me saying what I already knew, the info I need will be on the details bit, er yes, I know it clears today but WHEN today!!!?Grrrr.
Ive got £57 in the account for a $89 order, do you think that enough what with exchange rate and charges?
candles by lisa

Just did a quick google on exchange rates there. For £57 you would roughly get $117 us dollars. As long as $89 is the total cost of the order you should be okay. You could e-mail Paypal again and ask how much their charges would be.
Hope you get it sorted out.
Cheers.
