oooooh - they're lovely !! Are they easy to do? I'm looking to include bags into my range, but have to put my hands up and say that I'm not the best at using a sewing machine

I'm not a handbaggy type of gal (only ever used 2 in my 'adultness' so far!) but I have to admit, I'm very impressed with them!!
Do they have pockets inside one for putting mobile and one for credit cards???:D

This style doesn't have internal pockets, simply because there's a seam right in the way ... but the other ones I make do have pockets (HINT, HINT!!) LOL

Define what you mean as "easy". Once I'd got my head round the pattern instructions (I'm not used to following instructions, as I usually just make things up as I go along) I found it fairly straight-forward, but I do do a fair bit of sewing....

JBJB I can't get on your website - its saying that your bandwidth has been reached :o
Is that a good thing = lots of customers or potential ones?!!! ;)
I know ... it ran out on Sunday.
It automatically gets refreshed on the 1st of the month (tomorrow).
I can upgrade to the next bandwidth bracket (at a cost) so I thought I'd see if it runs out again next month before making a financial commitment. It's not a lot of money, but I wanted to see if it was a one off.
I'm not sure whether to look upon it as a good thing or bad thing! ;)

Ahhh!
At least it didn't run out earlier in the month! I'd probably work out when it was running out to see if it was worth upgrading.
And I promise not to look at it too often and hog the bandwidth! ;)

i love the blues you have used :) 'sherbet' is one of my fave patterns too - its really cool that you use flowers on the ends of the straps too (i used the flowers on my first one as my stitching was a bit wonky and it seemed to finish it off better - since then i havent left them blank as it seems to make more of the bag somehow - mine are uploaded onto the site where the pattern is from :) )

Ooh a fellow sherbert-o-phile! ;)
One question - have you come up with a better/neater way of finishing the straps off from the inside? I'd love to be the neatest stitcher in the world, and I feel it just lets it down slightly from the inside of the straps....

lol i had the same problem - i just couldnt get the ends to have those bobbles on iykwim. now i just do plain straight straps and sew the handles onto the bag by sewing it down one side, across the bottom then up the other side - thus fastening it to the bag with a U shape. This also means i can get my finger into the top of the U to fasten the flowers on - will upload a pic to see if it will show what i mean.....
ackk i wont let me post a pic as its linking to my site sorry :(
I've just had a look at the gallery and I've worked out which are your photos.
I wish my sewing was as neat as Marianne's - the first bag posted!

ooh will go see :) I had a dinky sewing machine when i first started which litterally got ran into the ground once i got the sewing bug!! LOL I ended up having to buy a new heavy duty one which, when you even slightly touch the pedal, flies off at a rate of knots!!! Im starting to get the hang of it now but boy was it difficult to turn those bends at first! LOL
