..if I brought my sewing machine into work.

Ive just pinned ribbon to something and I desperately want to sew it.

I have a question.Ive pinned ribbon onto fabric but have raw ribbon edges sticking out of each corner.
Its look unsightly if I tuck the ends under(I want to iron the ribbon decorated fabric onto more fabric) do you have any suggestions of how to make a neat edge?

Tuck it under and either hem it or use wondaweb (or whatever it is called!) I know you can buy some stuff that stops the edges fraying but I don't know what it is called or indeed even if it works!
Ask your bosses about the sewing machine - they can only say no!

Ahh, I could buy one and feel like a giant!!

Some one suggested overlocking the edges which makes perect sense..especially as I have an overlocker...but I think its not going to look glma with a thread based edge, so I going to use bias binding to put round the edge, hopefully that will look ok and deal with the loose ribbon ends.

Really really daft question and I ought to know this but what is an overlocker?? I remember Monica using one on project catwalk but I didn't see what it was. BTW - is project catwalk coming back soon - not that I can watch it as I have virgin and they don't have sky one - boo hoo
