I made this play kitchen to replace the rickety old plastic one we had in the kids cubby house. Interestingly I think it took the same amount of time to assemble as the store bought plastic one! I started with 3 white melamine bookshelves that looked like this:

and turned them into this:

The kids love it, many a meal of sand and sticks has been served from it already. See more instructions on my blog....thanks, miya

Wish I was more handy, I would love my lil Ollie to have something like that instead of the crappy plastic ones you buy from the shops
