Following my last attempt on a piece of old pine from a skip I decided to re investigate the bottom of the offcuts bag from my local timber yard and found a couple of bits that I had not considered previously. Well... here is the result and I am quite chuffed with myself!
Incidentally the one with the piece missing was a piece of ordinary yellow pine with a knot in it and when the vase had been turned and finished I noticed that the knot in the side was loose and slid free giving a nice little gap to the piece! cool, no?
