Totally out of my depth here. Done a lot of Googling but getting nowhere. I am looking for a supplier of the very best realistic silk flowers and a supplier of contorted willow or similar. I can look at a website but you can't tell the good from the bad, and looking at what is available in shops there are a lot of bad around !!
Flowers............... lilies, gerberas, exotics, anything that could be used in Japanese Ikebana for example.
Many thanks,

Have you looked at "Save On Crafts?" But, its over here, so may not be of use to you.

I searched them for gerbera daisies and got several pages of results starting here -

If you look on that first link I gave you - scroll down and find curly willow branches - don't search for 'contorted'...I don't think you'd come up with 'curly.' Well who knows, maybe...

Thanks Susan. My real problem with the silk flowers is knowing the quality of what I can view on websites. They all look the same but there is a world of difference between the most basic you can uy in the £ stores and the fabulous ones you see in some shops where you have to feel them to know if they are fake or not. The latter is what I am really loking for.
The tip about the curly willow is valid, just I have always known it as contorted and couldn't think of another term LOL Will try again and look at your links :-))

Oh Phooey! This is another instance of I wish we lived closer together! We have a contorted willow in our garden which is over 20ft tall. The darn thing is always dropping bits of twig on the grass and we have to put it on the bonfire! You would have been very welcome to come and help yourself any time you like!
Sorry, apart from increasing your disappointment I can't offer anything useful.
Linda
PS I have a loft full of silk flowers which my Mother made before she became ill, and boxes and boxes of the materials to make more (maybe one day I will have time to learn how to do it).

Thanks Linda for the kind thought anyway. Plenty available in the US :-( I think next stop is to trawl the local florists.
