I put an order in by email to a wholesaler last wednesday (11th) and when i phoned them today they said mine is next on the list. By the time i get it it's been two weeks since placing the order.
This is one of the main suppliers and i'm wondering if the bigger the supplier the slower they are at supplying. Its not as if its a little order neither.
Whats the longest you've ever waited for an order from a supplier (not counting out of stock items)?

Drives you mad doesn't it :pc: I've had a few orders in the past where I've had to wait about 2 weeks - the frustrating thing is that the very same suppliers have been known to deliver next day at other times so you're left not knowing when the order will arrive.
Oh just remembered there's one supplier I've used a few times that took over a month last time to deliver :o - I'd actually forgotten all about it when it finally arrived.

Unfortunately, each wholesaler is a law unto themselves :nopity:
But its the same with retail shops - some will send stuff out quickly and have good customer service, and some will stink. With retail shops you do generally have more choice, but unfortunately wholesalers are fewer.
I know which of my suppliers are quick and which are rubbish, and with the rubbish ones I try to keep the orders to a minimum, and my reorder levels higher. Its frustrating :mummy:

One of my wholesalers took 6 weeks once to deliver my order!! Most of them are generally pretty quick though, usually within one to two weeks.

The thing with wholesalers that annoys me is 'back orders'. When they send you most your order quickly but a few other things take forever to arrive!
