Read the rules - they are spelled out quite clearly, regarding the 25 posts.

Please contact any moderator if you feel you have extenuating circumstances and it will be put before the forum owner.

Any post you make, whether a reply or a question, contributes to your total. However, be forewarned...it is highly frowned upon when a new member tries to run up their post total quickly, mostly with inane posts, so that they can then post links within the body of any subsequent posts they may make. You must show us that you are here to be a participating, rule following member of the CF community, in the true spirit of the CF community.

I am trying to introduce myself in the intro bit but It says about the 25 posts. How do I get started?
Many thanks

Hi Liz
You can start a new thread in the intro section to tell us all a little about yourself and your crafts (just click '+ post new thread' button at the top). What you cannot do before reaching 25 posts is to add url's to your posts.
Hope that helps, if you have any other questions please just ask.

This raises a question then. When your a newby how do we avoid what others may class as inane posts. We cant yet ask the questions we need answered and if your new to crafting your not really in a position to give advise. Bit of a catch 22 for some.

Don't worry, inane posts are very obvious to mods - they tend to be made in very quick succession and usually contain only a few words - usual format is something like 'i like it too' or 'nice work' or 'hello I'm new too' posted on lots of different threads.

That is nice to know. I have had a problem with fluff for quite some time now; it keeps collecting in the most awkward places :)
