Which is the best sewing machine thread out there? I normally use invisible thread for most of my work but I'm heading down the path of more decorative work that needs colour. I've done some sewing tonight with rubbish thread that kept snapping (I think it's the thread more than the tension etc) and just wondered which was good thread to get? Oh and if any of you know any good stockists (online ideally) then that would be great too!
Thanks

I tend to use Gutterman thread - many many colours and it only breaks when I have a 'moment' and try and stitch pin heads!!
Good old ebay could be worth a try? Or Ossy Mills??!!;)

I'd thought of Guttermans but wasn't sure if it was any good - I've seen the cases of it at my local fabric shop. Ozzy mills is very expensive for card making stuff - is it better for fabric and related stuff?

Yep Ozzy mill not too bad for the thread - its sort of to the side of the card supplies shop (but, yes, I know exactly what you mean! ;) but some stuff is surprisingly cheap!!)
Ohhhhhh! Have you tried The Range? I think they do Guttermann thread...:D

Depends what fabric you are sewing. Some threads are really expensive. I use Moon polyester thread and you can get 10 for £5.50 plus P+P on Ebay. I've forgotten the sellers name but I've ordered from them before, they have loads of colours and you really won't beat that price. I've used loads of this thread for my Little Snugglers and I haven't had any problems at all. I'm just going to order 10 more.
