View Full Version : Being ill and HAVING to watch shopping channels!!!

Hi Everyone

I am feeling a bit down so I thought I would come on the forum to cheer myself up! Last night I managed to re-do a back injury that kept me off work for 2 months at the beginning of the year! All I did was turn around that that was it... I am now back to being a 25 year old cripple!! Grrrr! Oh well, at least I know how to deal with it this time! Thank you for letting me get that off my chest!!

How bad is day time TV!!! I have resorted to watching Superman 2!!! It really is a poor state of affairs!! lol - Some of the shopping channels have craft sessions in a bit so I am going to resort to those! I have never bought anything off a TV channel - although the prices look good the post and pack is extortionate!!! Anyone else ever bought craft from the TV??

Is Superman 2 the one with general Zod?

Cant say Ive watched daytime tv for a while, love Phil n Fern tho.

I think I missed Phil and Fern - were they on first thing this morning...

Yes it was the one with Zod - actually all the 80's costumes and over egged acting was quite amuzing!!

At least you don't have to watch a lifetimes supply of cbeebies.:)

What annoys me about Cbeebies is that they repeat the programmes throughout the day - do they not realise that I am a bad mother and plonk my children in front of it all day :D
Hope you aren't too bored with all the daytime tv!

Daytime telly is pants! When I was off on mat leave both times I was soooo glad to get back to work!
Having said that, I did enjoy Bergerac and George and Mildred!!

If you've got Nick Junior, try watching it from around 8pm - Rainbow is on (its still naff but strangely hillarious and very double meaning!!;)) but after that is Mr Ben, Chigley, Trumpton, Camblewick Green...... oh, fantastic!! I have it on in the back ground whilst I'm faffing with bits of card n stuff!! :D

Day time TV is a nightmare!
The shopping channels are hilarious the presenters are totally rubbish at what ever they are talking about (the crafts stuff) and the people who are on doing the presentations and the actual craft always seem really fed up with the rubbish presenters! I have bought craft off the TV many years ago..the P&P is a total rip off and the delivery can take forever. But sometimes you can get good bulk deals. I haven't watched or bought for ages as I am always working in my little office nowadays and the call of the internet shop is way too strong!
