Turn an ordinary kitchen jar into a pretty container for Mum’s favourite hand cream. All you need is a jar, some PVA glue, thin coloured paper and household white tissues.

This project is suitable for children of all ages. The easiest method (pictured 2nd from right) is to use small pieces of torn tissue paper, which the children can simply layer over the jar with PVA glue. For something a little more challenging, try applying the same technique to decorate a matching lip balm.
