Hello,

I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask, but I'd like to start making lavender bags. Can anyone recommend any good suppliers of dried lavender? I'd also like to fill them with other scents, but am not sure what. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks,

Fiona

I haven't bought from them for a few years but I used to buy mine here http://www.daisygifts.co.uk/html/dried_lavender_loose.html

Can't help with other scents - are you looking at filling them with the natural products (like the lavender) or something else (stuffing, rice etc) mixed with the fragrance?

HI, Ive been researching the very same thing as Id like to make lavender bags too.
I bought lavender from a seller on Folksy.
You can also get scented beads from ebay.

I dried some last year, as we have so much in the garden, and it was quite successful.

You have to cut them before the flowers fully open, so you catch them at their best. Tie them into small bundles, hang them upside down in the airing cupboard for about 5-6 weeks to make sure that they are dry all the way through the bundle otherwise they will go mildew. Hey presto.............!

I cant remember where I got the recipes from. I think the lavender cake one was from one of my Nana's Woman's Weekly magazines... There's probably something on Google. :)
