Jules just my flippin luck flying from Glasgow airport on Tuesday!!!!!! AAAARRRGGGGHHHHH the last time I went on holiday was the day the strike started!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I agree with Peter though not professional because what good would it be to drive a jeep into the terminal building? Even if it is on fire the damage would be pretty small - more damage to the people driving - considering there were no explosives in the jeep just the jeep on fire itself.
I'm glad I wasn't at the airport today though must have been pandamonium (is that how it's spelt) considering this is the first full day of the school holidays here.
Well if you see me on the forum on Tuesday you will know that I haven't got out of Glasgow - everybody keep everything crossed for me and think really nice thoughts!!
Now I have had a thought the bombs in London beside Mr M's workplace now the bombs at Glasgow airport - do you think someone is trying to tell us something.
Cheers.

I thought that, but then the car in London was a Mercedez..... (ie, not a cheap old banger)

I don't know if you have seen any of the bulletins through ITV - obviously I am watching all the time for updates but this airport guy is hilarious (I know it is a serious situation but man) I realise that his broadcast is going out all over the world so please don't think all Glaswegians speak like that - I am certainly not as slang as him.
He said "the guy ran oot the car and went straight fur the Polis - we aw chased him and gave him a kick and goat the boot in" - see when he said that I cringed something terrible. But typical Glaswegians - never run from a fitgh!!! Have to be proud of them because nobody knew what was in the car at that time - apparently some people saw the gas cannisters and pulled them out of the burning jeep - now that takes some bottle.
Cheers.

Hello everyone,
I flew back from Rome last night into Newcastle Airport, we knew nothing about Glasgow being attacked but thought that there was bad weather there as there were loads and loads of people off flights to Glasgow in Newcastle redirected from Glasgow. The airport kept us waiting for two hours to get our bags off our flight and told us nothing. It wasn't until we finally got outside to get a taxi home and there were police blocking the roads and one taxi allowed into the airport at a time that we found anything out! What a nightmare!

I thought that too - usually they are so much more organised and planned.
The best way to be able to drive a car into central London and not look suspicious would be to use a good car

Rather begs the question, why go to all that trouble and expense to "blend in" only to park it badly enough to alert people!!

I was looking forward to Die Hard 2 last night, when they say 'in a change to the schedule we will be showing Cliffhanger' I was so miffed, then realised that Die Hard 2 is a story of terrorists in an airport!
