I have combined my hayfever like symptoms with my question.
Ive been making glass bead necklaces then putting them in grip seal bags.
My ever worrying mind tells me they are going to knock together and chip.
I was thinking about padding them in tissue paper but Ive heard there are some makes better than others ie some colour from the paper can come off onto the jewellery.
Any ideas of where I can try?
Thanks

Hi Have to say ive only ever brought our tissue paper from e-bay as it seems to work out cheaper even with P+P. Ive never had a problem with the die coming off but then maybe ive just been lucky.

There are some tissue papers out there that are guaranteed colour fast, or you could just go with a cream that wouldn't have much dye colour in it? http://www.wrapology.co.uk/product_detail.asp?ID=92
this may not be the cheapest source and it obviously depends how much you want!! hope this helps

You could also be cheeky and ask in local shoe shops if they have any tissue paper in there that comes with the shoes that they are going to throw away! My mum works in one and I get lots from her - it tends to be white so no worries about the colour running and they are nice sized pieces if you don't mind them being crumpled.

Yep you are because you have more than 25 posts - and you are actually responding to a question asked rather than just promoting your own site!

Very perdy, thanks for the link.
I had an idea of wrapping the vulnerable jewellery areas in white dye free tissue paper then wrap that in the coloured.Hence no staining but still colourful.
Admittedly spending money on something I will rarely us but I think it shows that i dont want my work to reach people in pieces or scratched.
Hi Seahorse
I buy my tissue paper from Morplan, its acid free and not that expensive.
They have an online store as well.

It drove me mad.I dint use sticky tape, just wrapped them and hoped it would stay on til I got it in the hrip bag.
But now Im dreading the real thing.
Im gona have to wrap each breakable bit seperatley.
Think Im going to have to practice!!Neatness/presentation arnt qualities I have.

Realised last night that that P+P from a UK company cost more than a delivery from the USA!!

I know I got a whole load of scents from the USA and it was cheaper getting them shipped from there than P&P in the UK - go figure!!
cheers.

It's so bugging...I find the same thing with fabric and garment labels. Both are lots cheaper than buying from a UK company and shipping is cheap too. And they wonder why our economy is so bad........sheesh.
