Has anyone else been watching the series? Im sooo hooked - special FX are great as the storyline and cast, but I love all the quirky things too.
My friend works on the sets and my other friend played one of the daleks in the last series so I get a few snippets of whats happening and whats coming up.
Did anyone notice the drum beats in last nights, it is the same beat used in the intro music? They have been running lots of quests for big fans to spot in this series.......most go over my head til someone points them out to me.
Last time I was hooked was when the fantastic John pertwee was the doctor!!! shows my age now!
Can't wait til next wk's episode.
If anyone missed last nights its well worth a watch tonight as its repeated. Look for the SAXON references!
TORCHWOOD- anagram for Doctor Who!
When was the anorak give to me! ;)

Did anyone catch all the Douglas Adams references last night? He wrote a few episodes when Tom Baker was the (best ever, until now) Doctor, but Russell T Davies must be a Hitchiker's Guide fan too! :)

Deffo elements of the Hitchhikers guide in Dr.Who........Tom Baker was ok...but Pertwee my fave.
Loved Toms scraf though ;)
Russell is a genius...........would love to see him do a rehash of THE TOMORROW PEOPLE!

Tom Baker was the Doctor who i remember from being a kid, i used to love K9.
I missed last week's episode thinking I'd be able to catch a re-run on BBC3, but, no, they've been showing Glastonbury all the time.
Last night's episode therefore didn't make much sense to me, but it was still worth it for the scrummy David Tennant and John Simm - yummy!

dont know how many more episodes to go but as long as it stays as good as last night i dont care.
When he killed that lion and threw it on top of the black van was incredibly cool, even cooler was where he stuck the note.

Sssssh: I will get shot if I say too much but.... the next series is set in the 80,s and will start filming next mth in London along the docklands mostly.
Music will be 80,s of course and Bowie again will be used. Maybe more than in the last!!! hint! ;)

I agree Life On Mars had a brilliant climax to a fantastic series and concept.
However, me and my mum are at loggerheads as to whether the ending meant :
a) he died in the current day when he jumped off the roof because the radio in the car in the seventies said "we're losing him......."
b) or did that mean he actually time-travelled to the seventies and they were losing him from the present day.....?
I favour answer (a) that he died. But then I'm a realist, not a romantic!

He died - there's an article somewhere where the writers tell us exactly what the ending means, and I've found it. Here you go, some answers (http://blogs.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/ianwylie/2007/04/life_on_mars_the_answers.html)

I heard this morning Kylie is going to be in the Christmas special which is fantatstic but its based on the Titanic!Cant picture Kylie in big bloomers.Maybe she will be some kind of alien.
Also, when The Master speeded up the Dr's age by 100 years, the Dr os 925 years old anyway and looks pretty good,so how come he got older?

Me too as long as he still looks like Spike I'll be happy!! Love James Marsters - never really went for Angel though. I haven't see the first series of Torchwood yet - is it out on DVD yet? Going to persuade hubby to buy it - for the continuity with Dr Who, not the gorgeous John Barrowman obviously!

Didn't really like Torchwood that much - Captain Jack is just so much less fun in it, and the main characters just got too annoying. You have to be able to empathise with them a bit, otherwise you end up not caring if they get fed to a tree shredder.
Don't like Catherine Tate at all, not her comedy, and certainly not her attempts at acting.
