Has anyone ever made a top before? I'm after making myself one for the summer (when it arrives!) but I've only ever made a very simple skirt for Anya before so need something simple! Can anyone recommend any good patterns? Or a site that does/sells patterns?
Thanks

i think its Mcalls that do a whole range of patterns called Patterns for dummies!
They are simple and clear but allow you to develop your skills too.

Like a vest top but not with tiny straps (I hate tiny straps!) but not too fitted. I'm off to check out Mccalls!

a great pattern website is http://www.habithat.co.uk/ they are very good with reasonable postage and some of the most amazing patterns ever.
I was chuckling over the matching dog and child xmas outfits!!http://www.habithat.co.uk/product_info.php/products_id/8810 they also have an "its so easy range" for £3.65 postage is £1.45 i think for any size of order.
And some great vintage patterns, historical patterns and patterns for slippers hats bags everything.
the descriptions could be a bit better but sometimes if the pattern store doesn't have the right size in stock they can be useful too.
have fun, :playball:

.....it's Simplicity 4188.
I bought some 'cut out' fabric from eBay to make two, and some swiss lawn to make a third. (190122267406, 190122259069, 200103467576)
I now you're looking for a top, but I had to share cos I'm so pleased with my find! Now I just need to find the time.....
