Isn't he great?? I love how to look good naked! He always has such good advice but it's obvious in a way!!
Glass of wine, telly, ironing board (to make business cards not actual ironing!) - what a way to spend an evening!!

He's a presenter on 'How to look Good Naked' on channel 4. It's a programme that makes you feel good about yourself and he actually offers decent tips - and uses real women!

He is so good with the women on the show - the photos at the end of the show are always lovely.... So, the question is: if Gok turned up would you do it...?

(yes from me... i think...well.. hmmm..he'd have to work his magic first...)

I would - but he would have to do something with my hair and actually apply make up to me. I would have no qualms about being naked - but would have to have the extras done like make up.

I agree he is good and the women always look gorgeous BUT i wouldn't do it, it's not because of everyone seeing the photo at the end but the taking of the photo. All those people and lights shinning on every lump and bump - NO THANK YOU.

Ive watched that programme once, I wasnt looking forward to it as I thought he was gona be harsh to the women but he was so decent to them, building up their confidence and doing the best with what they have got.

Given the amount of money they spend on you and the expert haircut and make-up, plus really professional photographer, they can make anyone look really good.
Naked is no big deal anyway - just the hang-ups that most British people seem to have. If you go live in Germany, for instance, there are naked people sunbathing in parks in almost any town. Many swimming pools have mixed changing rooms with no booths - it isn't anything special. Funny how many ladies will go topless on a foreign beach but wouldn't dare in England. Can't think why.
When I lived in Germany I was in a sauna when a couple of English ladies came in. They were talking about being naked, and one asked the other whether she would do similar 'at home'. The other replied that she wouldn't dare to be naked around other English people..... I really don't know what they thought when I said 'Good evening ladies' in my best Hugh Grant accent when I left.......

I suppose when your on holiday you feel like a differnt person and let yourslef do things you wouldnt do in your normal emveronment.

There was a programme on a few months back about 2 backpackers walking the length of the UK totally naked.
They stopped off at a pub for food n drink and I was amazed and very entertained atone womans reaction, calling them disgusting and they should be ashamed of themselves as there were children around!!

The British seem to have a very odd reaction to nakedness!

I saw one of these once and I thought that when it came to the photo shoot the woman was probably looking good as they kept applying makeup to her bum, thighs etc and she wasn't actually naked - she had a thong on (I saw some of the string when they did the close up of doing her upper leg makeup) and got her to stand in a position in which it didn't show. Do we all have to do makeup on the whole body?

I find that if I apply blusher to my butt cheeks it has the same effect on them as on face cheeks.

Where are you showing off your butt cheeks so that you need blusher on them! :o

...have a lot to answer for.

Life happens, it affects your body. And everyone is different.

Puberty, hormones, babies, states of mind, diets, eating.....it's all life. If these twits like Posh (tits on a stick) et al, stopped with the OK, Hello, Grazia articles then everyone else would realise that whatever shape they are is normal.

And, whilst we're about it, define normal...........????

My body is mine, it's lumpy bumpy and far from perfect. But it's me. It's who I am.

I hate myself naked (should I really be taking about this on the forum!!!). I have started to get quite concious about it recently as we are going on holiday in Sept, somewhere sunny which means swimwear...oh dear!!!! Today I vowed I would start eating really watching what I eat, in a bid to lose some weight before the holiday. Started well...made a chicken salad for lunch, took lots of fruit. Even managed to resist the pastries someone brought into work. But then gave in to a veg somosa. Then got invited out for lunch...then got given some chocs for my bday. Oh dear...maybe it's best to start on Monday, new week, new start!!!!

Still on the subject of nakedness...this reminds me of a holiday when I was younger - we went to the beach for the day. You couldn't park by the beach - you had to park and walk to it so we couldn't see what was to come. As we approached the beach itself, I was puzzled by the sign that read 'warning, naturists beyond this point' (too young to understand). I think my parents were quite surprised but that didn't stop them staying there!!! Ended up being quite amusing actually. Think the beach was called Sandy Bay...or something like that!!!

Oh and yes, I agree, love the show and he is great!!!

I wouldn't worry too much Kate. When we went to Goa I didn't take a bikini because I am a size 14/16 and thought it wouldn't look good - I needn't have worried because there were people there who were much, much bigger than me in bikini's and they were obviously quite happy with their figures. I told hubby to make me take my bikini on holiday when we go again!

I really really hate seeing people in thongs on the beach (men and women yeuk and no not the flip flops the bits of string that don't cover much!) I have yet to see the bum that looks good in one of them!!!!

hehe.

I think wearing swimwear when pregnant is the best cos you don't have to hold anything in
