Ive just spent about 2 hours trying to find the best way to attatch a biggish expensiveish pendant to a beaded necklace!!
I tried it with a chain link, looked awful, I tried it with a beaded eyepin which then looped onto the necklace and pendant either end, awful and didnt look sturdy enough.
Finally I experimented with the tigertail, which is the same colour as the beads(Im soooo colour co-ordinated)luckily it bent back on itself and quite easily threaded through the smaller beads,so this was the best and safest way to attatch the pendant.

But some tigertail is showing.

At this stage(as Ive threaded and rethreaded those bloomin beads umpteen times)) im not too bothered, as it doesnt look hidious but I was just wondering if its a sin to allow the tigertail to show?

I think we need pictures befor we could coment. It all depends on the finished design I think. :)

Yep piccies please - but it will be lovely just being the usual arty crafty person you are too hard on yourself.

Cheers.

I agree with Lisa, we're all too hard on ourselves when it comes to our projects. A picture would be an ideal way to comment properly.

We are all the same. I don't know how many times I have un moulded a candle and went that look cr*p and put it back in the pot - nobody else would have noticed but I did.

Hehe, us artistes ay!

been discussing a bow my pal wants on her skirt Im making for her.
I asked 'do you want it shaped, like a bow tie'?
She repied 'are they shaped, hadnt noticed'.Plus she liked the skirt that I was really worried about re the direction of the stripes on it but she didnt notice and loved it!!

Maybe we have a built in 'naffness' detector.

Sounds like me, I had four goes on a necklace before I was satisfied

I have a ying to my yang.
The trouble with my previous necklace was counter balanced out by me realising I only need use half the amount of bead for another necklace and earrings(and I liked the result) hence saving me money...hoorah..love it when that happens.
