move a photo from Photoshop into My Craft Studio?

I want to use the photo as a tile for a card I'm making. Am new to Photoshop, the help section doesn't seem to cover this.

Help needed please

I don't know as I don't use Photoshop but, I know this is a bit basic, could you cut and paste it. I can do that with Flickr.

Im not too sure what mycraftstudio is, but when I use photoshop and what to transfer to illustrator, I get all the layers that I need to move 'active' so they are selected, or ctrl+a if it is everything. then, I just drag, as in, drag straight out of the program into the next. It might not work as they both aren't adobe but it might !

I'm not familiar with my craft studio either, but on Photoshop you can Save As into your documents, and probably upload it from there.

Click save in Photoshop and save the image as a JPEG with the quality slider set to 100. Then (I'm presuming) simply import it into My Craft Studio the same way you'd do it with any other image.

^^^What he said. Choose 12 as the maximum quality (jpeg compresses your images, thus you lose quality) - images for print should be 300 dpi, you can change that under Edit, image, image size and if it is set at 72dpi, just change it to 300 (also images for print should be cmyk and not rgb...rgb is for computer screens, however, if you are just printing it from your home computer I wouldn't worry too much about it)

Handywitha, I've been wondering how to do that ! Thank you.

Another question - how do you make an image cmyk?

When you open photoshop and open a new image canvas - there is a section saying 'Mode' (I think, mine is in french) - normally it is ryb but you can change :)

If it is going onto a web site use 'Save for Web' or it will be huge. You can save as a jpeg on your computer for safekeeping. If you are likely to want to play with it later save as a PSD file, that will be the default if it has layers as they will be preserved and you can go back and fiddle with it later. Save as a Jpeg and it will merge all the layers into one.

Thank you both. This is a very educational thread :) I hope dragonlady has found out how to do hers as well.

in Photoshop --> image, mode CMYK (here you can also choose greyscale - if you want to turn your picture black and white - it will give you a warning asking you if you want to discard all colour information).

Don't forget to Save As, various versions...as sometimes you mess up and want to go back to previous versions as they were better.

Save for web and save as a jpg high quality or about 80% will be good enough, it will compress the image but the quality will be perfect for the web. You can then import it into your other account.

can you not just open the file in my craft studio?you might need to save it as a jpg in photoshop, but that will mean you loose all the layers. i dont know what my craft studio is and what you use it for so i dont know if you need the layers?
