First Toppers for 2011 - Funny Skiing Couple

This is my first order for 2011 and its a complete surprise for the bride and groom as her mother is the one who has ordered it!

She wanted a comical setting with the bride skiing holding a sign that says 'Catch me if you Can' and her groom on a sled behind out of control and trying to catch up (with is golf clubs/bag with him)

The loch ness monster is there because the grooms is Scottish and the scottie dog is theirs.

You cant see the can dragging behind on the sled or the two signs that were made to go on the cake with their names and date of wedding, plus a personal message.

To say it was a bit of knightmare is an understatement, lol and its actually made me sit up and think if I really want to carry on doing cake toppers!

This is absolutely brilliant and it made me chuckle even though I don't know the people or any of the 'in jokes' behind the design requested. I am sure the happy couple will be thrilled! Well done yet again...

That stuff is fabulous and made me smile! I'm sure the lady who commissioned it will be delighted and the bride and groom can't fail to love it.

By all means question whether you want to carry on, but don't actually stop! You are far too talented to deny the world your skill and artistry. What would you do if you stopped doing toppers?

As always, today you havent dissappointed me, it's brilliant.
It would be such a shame if you felt the need to give up as your work is so great and must be such a talking point at many a function :D

As I read your description of all the different parts to this commission, I actually thought to myself "blimey that's a nightmare - what a load of work". So I too hope your comment about giving it all up is just a result of burn-out rather than any serious plan. Your work is far too lovely to deny the world!

I just adore the toppers though - how cute is that Nessie? Makes me want a pet lake monster, and the little bow around the neck is beyond cute - it really made me smile. Every part of that commission, I think you nailed perfectly. They will be thrilled.

I always have to have a look when I see you have posted new ones and these are fab as always! Your toppers make peoples wedding day that extra bit special - i hope you carry on even if its only for special people and not as a business.
