headpins

Hi,

Does anyone know if headpins, but with a ball at the end, instead of being flat are called something other than headpins, and does anyone what the thickest headpins you can get are?

As far as I know they are just called ball-end headpins, to differentiate them from flat-end headpins.

Sterling headpins usually come in the various wire thicknesses; the ones I use are 22 ga or 20 ga, but I've seen 18 ga - not sure I'd like to work with those as I would have thought they would be a bit hard to manipulate. I've also bought 24 ga before but they were too floppy for me; as soon as I tried to work with them they bent.
