Bracelet with cord-HELP!

I face one problem when beading.
How to make expandable bracelets with cord, like on the neck cords. How do you tie it so it works ?

I have no good idea for that.

There was a thread yesterday regarding children's jewellery using elastic cord .... can you not use the same principal as described on there?
