Hi Soapie,

Cant find any polystyrene ones but this company sells Oasis ones in 15" @ £9.46 for 2 if that's any use to you.

I have seen styrofoam hearts in Hobbycraft - but that was before Christmas. Failing that why don't you get two blocks of dry oasis and stick them together length wise with a glue (glue gun). Then cut them in half as if you are cutting a cake to fill with icing. Make a heart template from heavy weight cardboard. Place template onto the oasis block and cut out your shape. Stick your oasis shape onto the cardboard template. Then you have your very own handmade base to work on.
