My First Homemade Banana Bread

Hi All :)
I thought I would share picture of the banana bread I made tonight , never made it before and I must say it has come out very well . Tastes good too :)

I love banana bread - we make it loads here - it's lush with custard!! Your family/friends should be pleased you ate half - that's what i call very strict quality control!!

I really like banana bread. I'd ask you to send a slice but I fear that you will have eaten the lot before you get a chance to!! Never mind, I could probably do with making sure I don't overdo the eating before Christmas!

I use the banana bread recipe from Rachel Allens Bake book - i can't find a propper link to it - but someone has put it on their blog: http://graciesbakes.com/2009/07/27/banana-bread/

I soak my raisins in rum/white rum or nothing rather than whiskey.

I've never tried banana bread but it looks and sounds delicious! It would be nice with golden syrup. I love Rachel Allen, I've got one of her books.

Ah banana bread.......mmmmmmm......yum......yum.
When my little boy was little he 'invented' banana cake. (I was making a cake and he squashed some bananas into the mixture - he was 5...)
This year he is big and cooking us all Xmas dinner. :) :) :)

Beware where banana breads and cakes will lead you........;)
