Selling through blogs

Does anyone actually sell through their blog and if so, how are sales?

I haven't made any sales through mine yet - I have asked my sister to do a proper site for me in hope that this will attract sales.

I've had a go but no response, although my blog has generated some sales although not directly sold through it. One of the links on my blog, sells all her cards as soon as she advertises them, although again, she's in the US so it might not be so easy here.
