View Full Version : Men's jewellery - here is what I came up with

I had some glass cabs lying around, as each one is different I lacked inspiration and they have sat in a drawer for ages. I also had bails that I bought for my dichro glass but they didn't suit them IMO.

It's something I have been wanting to do for ages but until the very helpful tutorial by Emma from EJR I had not been able to do slip knots.

I made this and have included a few on my website - more designs will make an appearance soon and I have some gorgeous focal and wooden beads that I intend to use in the same way. I am going to make bracelets along the same lines.

Thanks so much for the tutorial Emma! Let me know if I can/should credit you more.

They are a brilliant idea for mens jewellery. The 3rd one is my favourite also

These are great. I think there's something very sexy about men who wear this kind of stuff.

Thank you all for your lovely comments. They are on my website with options for the slip knot, as pictured in 3, or suede thong. I am keen to see how they are received at the craft fairs I have coming up. It's always good, if not always pleasant, to hear public opinion (the good, bad and ugly)

I also like the third one the best.

I almost think you should skip the crimps - the knots look great.

You could also consider using the knots almost like an illusion necklace and knotting in intervals to give the entire design character. Maybe. Just a thought, but I bet it would look fun and I would wear it.

I think they look great. I'm always a bit stuck when it comes to men's jewellery and my OH is no good as he doesn't like it or wear it.
Good luck

Nice work, I like no 3 the most. Your knot work looks clean and neat.

Great male jewellery, particularly like the 3rd one with the knot either side - very neat looking.
