Hi

One of the things I will be selling via my online business is glitter. I have learnt an awful lot about gltter this last year - what it's made from, how it's cut, diff sizes etc.

Soooo .....

When it comes to using glitter with children do you just buy the cheapest or do you look for finish, texture, colour size? I've spent the morning pulling together a folder with samples of all the coloured sand, glitter, stems, leaves etc that I can trawl around my local schools, coffee morning etc and am now wondering whether a selection of diff types/diff prices of glitter rather than just diff colours of the same grade is something worth dabbling in.

My daughter is too young for glitter at the moment, but I'd probably go with something cheap, bright and colourful, and occassionally use glitter glue.

I would use any glitter that is contained in glue for children and use loose glitter for adults.

I use the kind of glitter that ends up all over the floor!!!! I'm afraid with kids ( I'm a children's worker ) , it's usually with stuff we've been given or recycled or from the pound shop! At school, it's buying big tubs rather than little phials.

We avoid glitter glue with kids cos kids can't control the thickness and it takes forever to dry. We use glitter shakers to limit how much they use.

I know what you mean! I'd rather give them a paintbrush to spread out the thickness of the glue though, than have glitter everywhere! x
