I think Ben has got Chicken Pox. He isn't really unwell but he's had a cough for a couple of days and now has about half a dozen blister like spots. Just rang another mum and she's heard of a few cases at playgroup. Better get the Piriton and calamine ready!

I bet he's plastered in spots now. Eurax lotion is also very good. I found that the dry powderiness of calamine made my kids scratch more.
Better to get it done with when you're young, but he has my sympathy.

Thanks Jules. Actually he's not too bad so far and the Piriton seems to be keeping the scratching down. We've been playing in the garden ALL afternoon so he's pretty pooped so should sleep well - me too!!!

Would you believe Mia still has the marks from when she had her chicken pox just after easter. I didn't like the calomine lotion as it didn't seem to do much but the piriton was great especially at night as it makes them drowzy (sorry spelling is awfull).
Hope he gets better soon

Thankfully my 2 have had chicken pox. As a matter of fact my daughter has had them twice. How the hell that is I will never know. Nicola is in bed just now feeling very sick. Came back from the worst craft fair ever but that's another thread.
Hope the little blisters go soon and hes not too itchy.
All the best.

Oh you have my sympathy too - both Anya and Tara have just had it. Tara still has the marks from her outbreak at Easter too.
Keep them in the bath for as long as possible - it distracted mine for a couple of hours! Medised is great too - knocks them out!

I've heard of Medised but never used it, think I'll get some ASAP.

The only thing is that it is very runny - so do small spoonfuls otherwise it will end up all over your carpet! Been there........ :D

I always use a 5ml syringe, it's great you just squirt it into their mouths and they think it's hillarious.
