View Full Version : Paper bag supplier
I'm down to my last dozen paper-bags that I put people's purchases in at fairs, etc. I need to replace them and wondered if anybody had suggestions as to where I can get some cheap ones from. I want them to have handles, so not the "market-stall" type - a bit like the sort you sometimes get takeaways in.
Please PM me with any suggestions

Hi Emma.
Dare I mention it - E-bay - there are quite a lot of people punting them on there.
Cheers.

I use kaleidoscope supplies www.kaleidoscope-supplies.co.uk (http://www.kaleidoscope-supplies.co.uk)
They have really fast delivery and a huge variety. I've looked elsewhere but found this to be the most user friendly site too!

I'm not sure but i don't think so. Even if they do it can't be much as i usually only spend less than £20.

Hi, I bought some not long ago but cant remember where I got them from (plus not allowed to put urls yet anyway) but if you type paper carrier bags into google there are quite a few companies which specialise in selling them, most have online ordering. You can get some really lovely patterned ones and coloured ones though they cost more than the white or brown ones.

I got some plain white ones with nice strong handles from Ebay - think it was Chrysalis Packaging. But if you type in 'paper bags' in the search it will come up wth squillions of options.
I tried Kaleidoscope once - first they lost my order and then the courier said they had delivered it to me and hadn't and there was a huge row because someone had written my name on one of those hand held receipt things. Except it was just my surname and printed, not a signature, and quite clearly not my handwriting. But it took me ages to clear up and they weren't at all helpful. So I'm not that impressed with them to be honest.

Hi all
Well I'm glad I came across this thread, I looked at Morplan for paper bags and I think off the top of my head they were 50 for about £24. Looking at the big breown bag site you can get 250 large coloured 100% recycled bags for £37ish.
To top it off they are based 10 miles down the road and I can collect them.
Thanks for the info, even if it wasn't meant for me. HeHe:D
These seem to have resonable prices, but haven't worked out the sizes yet - they do some scrummy floral ones though!

....I wasn't after very many in one go.
I bought plain pale pink, powder blue and pale lavender ones for my stuff last time. But at Christmas I use white or brown. The brown ones look lovely with 'folkart' style stickers on them (I put on stickers with my details printed on)
I also bought swirly funky retro style carriers that hold up to 5KG for my sister's painted glassware.
Just search for paper bags or carrier bags.
