View Full Version : Made a decoration for the tree :D

I know most of you guys could probably knock one of these up in 20 minutes but it was my first time sewing felt, doing blanket stitch and making a non-bead Christmas decoration so I'm all proud and wanted to share :D

Sorry about the picture - I will be able to take a better one when its light.

That is so cute! I couldn't sew a straight line (especially around curved edges) if you paid me - I would still be sewing at Easter!!

Well done - they will look lovely on the tree - I can see lots of different colours....

Thanks :D I thinks really cute, I started off much smaller than realised it would look much, much better bigger (that one is about the size of my hand).

Now I'm going to draw out a load more shapes, buy some more felt and make some more :D Really enjoyed making it.

Hehehe, thank you! It didnt take as long as I expected to be honest. It's not neat whatsoever but I think thats just rustic charm hehehe!

We keep meaning to plan a bit of time to make some Xmas decorations (I know, me actually making something - rare these days!) - our current set are getting a bit battered and besides, they're tat - time to replace with handmade! Although we may buy a few bits and pieces, we'd like to actually make the majority as we feel it'll make the tree a bit more special. :)

So will be snooping around ideas hunting soon..!! ;)

Really cute, I fancy having a go myself actually. Not sure I could master blanket stitch though..................
