A few months ago i applied for a stall at a big 'posh' shopping weekend which is held in Oct. Had to submit photos....
Today i got confirmation that i've been accepted.....
I'm really panicking now as it's a huge event with 'proper' local businesses there.
I know it's a good thing to do and will really launch the business and website (if i ever get it going) But i'm PANICKING....
It's by far the biggest thing ill ever have done, and i need soooo much stock for a whole weekend!!!!!
It's a lot of money too 130.00 for the weekend, is that a lot???
Omigod i've got sooo many questions.....
Has anyone else ever done anything on a whole weekend?
Where's the bottle of Rose i started last night.....

I am doing a 2 day event this weekend. A fairly big show so have been hammering trying to get the stock together.

Why are you worrying, they have seen what you produce and have accepted you, obviously what you make is more than good!! Don't worry and don't sweat it, plenty of time to get stock by October so go and find that bottle of Rose and well done on getting accepted.

All the best.

Lisa

Well done, just make sure you've got plenty of stock, plenty of business cards and/or flyers and a pack-up with a flask of coffee and you'll be fine.

I do 2-day weekend fairs quite often, and have just done a 3-day one over the bank holiday weekend. I actually prefer them to 1-day ones - maybe cos I'm a bit lazeee - it seems more worthwhile to go to all the effort of setting the stall up if it is for more than just a few hours.... As Lisa said, they obviously like what you have, so no worries! Hope it is a belter for you :)

February gone I did a three day exhibition at the NEC, it cost me a bl***y fortune! It was really terrifying because I felt like I was some little nobody next to all these big name companies (Friskas' enormous stand with 15 people staffing it were just across the way!) but things went really well and I am still getting trade orders from it now!
Good luck, you have been accepted, your stuff is what they want.. you will be a hit!

Hmmm i think that's what i worry about, i don't want to look like the 'little person' i want to at least give the impression that i do this sort of thing all the time haha!!
I think i have a lot of work to do.... off to look for packaging....

Where and when is this weekend? I know its October but which weekend. I'm interested just to go and have a look around, I like to get early Christmas shopping in around this time of year (can't believe I've just written the C word in May)
I'm in Suffolk so perhaps its not too far away. I'll write the date on my calender.

Sorry wanted to wish you luck also, you'll have a great time I'm sure.

It's the Treasures of Suffolk weekend held at Orwell Park School in Nacton, (horribly a stones throw away from where the poor ladys bodys were found)
26th-28th Oct, but 26th is just the evening, a kind of preview thing or something....
Ah would be good to see someone from here i was feeling out of the loop with everyone meeting up.....:)
