Hi,

Does anyone know where i can get hold of a few lamps that will clip onto a notice board/table etc to light it up? I'm also after some kind of light to go underneath a clear set of display steps - any ideas?

Thanks,
Laura :D

Hi Laura,

Did a quick google search and came up with
http://www.lighting-direct.co.uk/retail-and-display-lighting-s-39.html

I put in Display Lighting and it brought up quite a list so have a wade through that.

Hope this helps.

Lisa

Is it for when you do shows?

I use some cheap desktop lamps that are adjustable that I bought from B&Q with daylight bulbs in them and shine them up the boards.

I find lights do get hot and sometimes I'm sweltering!

Don't know about under step lighting though

We use those in work. They have big clamps on them and we got them in Ikea.

Ikea it is then! I shall have a gander!

Thanks very much everyone!

Does anyone have any suggestions about other ways of lighting a stall at an event?

Homebase have some swan neck lamps with a clip on the end instead of a base, & they only cost a couple of ££ each.
I use 4 of them to light my stall & it works a treat.

I got some swan-neck halogen lamps in WH Smtih at half price - I think they were £3.99 each. Ikea are also very good for stuff like that.

As for an under-step light, what about one of those lights you get for crystal ornamenets? You know the kind, where the crystal thingie is on a turntable and there's a light underneath it?

I know a lady who has a string of fairy lights across the front of her stall. I'd like to nick the idea but I don't think she'd be too pleased! You could get flowers, or just shapes, or those sort of red lanterny things.

I've got some of these....http://www.ikea.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?topcategoryId=15579&catalogId=10103&storeId=7&productId=11157&langId=-20&categoryId=16235&chosenPartNumber=50051493
Great for shelves and would fit a thin table top.

I've been using the Ikea ones for the last 4 years- so fairly durable despite their cheapness!!

Hmmm, not sure ... sounds a bit like something you'd buy at Superdrug!! very good for markets though, the lamp looks lovely.
