Sealing a canvas

Hi
I'm new to these boards and hoping someone can help. We've got a canvas that has messages written in felt tip pen (some used marker pen but some just standard felt tips) and we'd like to seal it, the messages are already starting to fade.

Does anyone know the best way for us to do this without smuding the messages?

Hi and welcome...

There are several products on the market for sealing your canvas....I think the best would be a varnish spray...your local art shop will have this.

As a precaution, I would do a test patch as the felt tip may dissolve. You will just have to try it out.

Alternative is to water down pva glue......same as above - test first.

Other than that its clear film.

Thank you for the help, I will give the spray varnish a try i think. I will do a test first though just in case.
