Is black the new...black???

This is the latest addition to my mosaic range- black/white/stone. I have also done a square mirror with these colours. I am really pleased with it - looking at the mosaics I wasn't sure if the colours would work but now it's done I'm happy! Any comments? This will be coming with me to Cheddar!

No, same size as I have used before, although I have taken the picture slightly closer so that may be why they look bigger. Thank you - glad you like it :)

It's great. Do you use the mosaic tiles which have speckled gold in? A mirror would be nice with golds, bronzes, and coppery tones.

I made a green square one with speckled gold tiles - the girl that bought it loved it! They do look really good and I want to make some more using them. They are really expensive to buy though so I am waiting until I have sold a decent amount of my current stock, to give me the money to buy some! I have also been looking into using mirror tiles (both silver and coloured) and experimenting with different coloured grouts and pigments. Again though, I am being good and waiting until I have some money. Let's hope the two fairs this weekend help!!! :)

Yeah me too! I think it is really lovely in fact i would be after it if i wasn't moving since i have a black and white theme at the moment ;) I'm sure it will go in no time at all at Cheddar!

It's lovely! You have a great eye for colour. I'm itching to have a go at some more mosaic, I've a few leaded things to finish off then I'm going to have a rummage through my jars (and jars!) of tiles and see what I can do. Yesterday I got yet another mosaic book off ebay and it had a couple of good simple ideas which would be easy to adapt for mirror frames...

Yes, this one has gone down very well - I sold 4 of them on Ebay last week! Seems to be the colour at the moment!

Black, white, monochrome etc is always gonna be a classic.
