It's really lovely - great colours!

Can I ask a couple of 'technical' questions?
- Is is bullseye?
- Did you make it in 1 stage or 2 (fuse then slump)?

Love the colours!...Have you tried using a 'rod pod' slump mould to make a lattice? If you slump the glass length ways across the grooves you can weave the glass after it's slumped-it's really effective. I used vanilla glass use to make a platter and it looked like i'd stitched it.

Thanks! It's a really gorgeous bowl - Hope to make some larger items myself someday - but at the moment I only have the teensiest kiln, so I'm sticking to jewellery!

Good luck at the weekend :)

It's just over 25cm (just measured it!) but you can get a smaller one too...although i'm not sure how well that'll work as the drop is shallower for the slump....i'll have got it via warm-glass so i'm sure they'll have them available.

I absolutely love it - can i ask, as i know nothing about glass, how fragile is it?you wouldn't want to play catch with it but it won't break if you look at it! it's only one layer of glass, with the intersections being 2 layers. most of my work is 2 or 3 layers so this is more fragile than usual. the glass is about 6mm deep.

Just thinking ahead for presents!!yes, any colours :) (well, the colours i have - will be putting colours i have up on the website sometime). i usually take commissions and people say 'browns and creams' or 'blues' etc and i just go with that as a guide. not had any complaints yet!
