Coasters to send to my friend in India (she likes brights so i thought Amy butlers farics would be great) I got the idea from the http://allsorts.typepad.com blog that i have mentioned before - very clever lady!

I also have got her a pendant from GlassKanvas (Thanks Phil!), I was thinking of making a little card to go with it but not sure what to do, any ideas???

There is no occasion i just saw the fabrics and the pendant and thought of her!

Honestly they are easy as... they take five minutes... i might just open up a coaster factory! My friend found them when browsing blogs (as you do, for hooooouuuurs) and whizzed me up some for my birthday. Of course i turned them inside out to see just how they were made and had a go myself!

You only need five 4.5" squares and you're away. I just used the Amy Butler Charm pack i had and they come in 5" squares so worked out great the actual tutorial is if you want to have a go..... http://allsorts.typepad.com/allsorts/2006/11/crisscross_coas.html

Wow, they're fab. I'll bet she love them and the pendant. I love my pendant....its my favourite piece of jewellery at the moment.

Haha of course ;) It was my lovely friend emma who made some for me in the first place (they are on the blog http://buttonberry.typepad.com/) and that gave me the idea.

I wanna start a 'pay it forward' campaign like the film but where you make something for someone 'just because' and then they need to do the same for someone else and so on! Spread the crafting love!!!!
