I was thinking of making the peg a magnet and obviously the calender would be for 2011
I would have to make a box for it rather than an envelope
but do you think it would make a good christmas present and card in one ???

I think this is an excellent idea, something a bit different.

Brilliant! I could definitely see one of these on my fridge :) A place that usually misses out on Christmas decoration!

Can I just ask...would you want a christmassy themed calender up all year ?

I see what you mean about the Christmas Theme all year, but then again it would remind me of who bought it and put me in a good mood when I used it. I would think that would be a really nice present. If my kid bought it for me for Christmas I would think it fantastic and I think Nan's would love it from Grandchildren - because it is affordable and useful. In a world where card shops charge £4.00 for a standard card because it has Merry Christmas Mum on it - I think it would sell well in a range of unique colours and designs.
I don't make cards myself so creatively I may be out on a limb - but, I really like it.
