The old big firms are Tandy and Le Prevo but the Identity Store people are lovely. Steve Bowstock is good for tools. (I bump into them at Fairs.)
There's another one...urm....Lyons?
Other things to dig out - somewhere near Northampton is an Art? College? teaching their students to dye leather. They sell off the gone wrong bits really cheap. Lovely colours. Can't help you any more as I heard about it from a friend who makes bags and shoes.
