Dear polymer clay artists. I was so pleased to see my piece titled Bomba, (Pods and Cocoons Collection,) win Second Place (tie), Members Choice Second Place at Progress and Possibilities 2010, in the Art Jewelry - Intermediate categories.

Progress and Possibilities is an annual competition organised by the International Polymer Clay Association.

Bomba's beads are hollow and the "ears" are a technique borrowed from my butterfly bead collection.

Happy day to all

Christine

Many congratulations - that is some lovely work you do. I am not a polymer clay artist but recognise stunning talents when I see them!

Well done you !

Congratulations Christine.

I'm having great fun trying my own versions of hollow beads (was at Corbieres Creatives in March). Have done some egg shaped ones too

They are lovely....CONGRATULATIONS.

I have tried working with polymer clay, but when I bake it as per the instructions I thought it would come out rock hard, but mine still seems bendy.

I have used an oven thermometer to check the temp and baked it to the right time for the thickness, but still seems a little bendy and obviously if you bend it too much it cracks....any suggestions?

Thanks.
