Anyone know if it is easy? Any tips?
Edited - realised that made no sense!
I'm wanting to make a doughnut style pillow for occasional seating, thought it would be quite fun and a talking point!!

Oh you lot:D I was serious about the hole in the seat. :) It would determine how she makes it.

Haha well of course with sugar and choc but yes with a hole..... i was thinking a hole more for looks so nothing too big e.g. bums won't fall through but i guess the technique is all i need!

I made a cover for one of those boomerang shaped cushions last week - that was pretty easy: just sewed the two sides together with a split in the middle of one of the sides to stuff the pillow into. For a donut I think I'd just double it up and sew it in two halves of the ring. Does that make any sense?

Hmm good point, you mean those 'V' shaped ones? I made one for my sister actually, i guess i could just alter the design, curve it more and then do it in four pieces as it were... could even maybe break it down more than that to alternate fabrics or something! Thanks!
(ps. does anyone know how i give 'kudos' as it were so i can thank people!)

Yep, a V shaped one was what I had in mind. I used two different fabrics for the two sides. Actually I used yellow and green fleece and now I can't look at it without thinking about the Brazilian flag - didn't notice until it was done!

haha i hate it when that happens! Well that was still tamer than mine, my sis just loves monkeys so i made it up in michael miller's 5 funky monkeys, it was a little bit bright to say the least!

To give people rep then you can click on the little scales in the top right - you have to spread rep around though - you can't keep giving it to one person. I hope thats what you meant by kudos? If not it will help someone I'm sure!

Cut 2 large circles for top and bottom.
cut out center size of hole you want.
cut one length of material to go round outer cercumfrence of circle.
cut smaller length to go on iner cercumfrence.
To be able to remove cover add velcro to bottom edge of outer cercumfrence.
I hope I've explained this ok as it sounds right in my head.
Try making a mini one so you don't waist material. ;) Happy stiching.
