my stall @ the Cotswold Craft Fair, Cirencester, Glos. 14 April 07

bah! it was pants this time! had a PRIME spot and sold one thing!! boo! (but covered my costs - phew!) it was the grey-haired brigade again with a few younger people coming in but it really was dead. i'm guessing a lot of people were in the pub watching the grand national as town was really quiet too. hey ho, win some lose some. I did enjoy setting up again and I had a fantastic spot - right next to the door as you walked in. I suppose I was the first stall you saw. I changed things slightly from last time, just taking glass. I thought the stall looked really bright and colourful and the two new lights i got made a big difference. i also loved my new mirrored step display for the cufflinks. it really drew people's eye up to them. i also had loads of positive comments so had a good ego-stroke ;) hehe!

I did get money for a commission I did for another stall holder as well as finally taking some stuff to the Number Nine gallery. I also picked up money from sales in the Fair and Natural shop I have work in too.

Your stall looks great! I love your work, it's so bright and eye-catching. Shame the fair wasn't very busy, but as you say there were other things going on, plus with it being so nice everyone's probably taking advantage of being outside and having BBQs. have you got any more planned for the summer?

yeah, once a month there. the 2nd saturday each month. it's not that far & i'll get known as a regular too. it's quite fun to do and not expensive.

Wow!! Your stall looks really good. Very professional and colourful, not too cluttered.
Hope you make more at the next ones, like you say people will get to know you are always there and will probably come and buy stuff as they need pressies etc.

The stall looks fab! Things will pick up on the sales side, your products are top quality..I know I have a set of your coasters!! ;) and everyone who comes into our lounge comments on them..I have been telling everyone about your website so hopefully you might get some more interest from there too!!

thanks gang :) at least it got me out the house :p i have lots of stuff made now so i can chill out a bit. still got a couple of commissions to do and some new ideas to work on but no rush for the new stuff. i also really need to sort my website out so that can be the plan for the next couple of weeks. :)

Your stall looks great. Bummer about the fair being quiet though. I have been to a few fairs this year and at 2 of them I haven't even covered my stall (and that's never happended before) so hopefully things will pick up soon.
