Help!! I have just totally stuffed up and wonder if anyone can give me any advice please, I have managed to cut my fabric to make some curtains for a window with a 2m drop and have only allowed an extra 13cms for the hem and header!!! The fabric has a thermal backing and so does not need to be lined but I'm wondering what is the minimum amount I could turn over at the top where I intend to do a pencil pleat heading, likewise how little hem will look ok... I am gutted, don't know what I was thinking unless I was getting my inches confused with my centimetres... all suggestions greatly appreciated..
Just thinking if I turned a centimetre at the top and backed the tape with some interfacing would that pleat up ok???

Do you have any spare fabric left over? If so you could cut strips to sew on at the bottom to create a hem. If you plan it so that the seam becomes the fold of the hem it will not be too visible, then you will have enough to fold over at the top.
Not ideal, but it would save you on this occasion.

If it's got the thermal lining already then you should be fine just to have a centimetre turnover at the top. I wouldn't put any interfacing on just the curtain tape.
The curtain tape will go right up to the top of the curtain anyway so the fact that you haven't put a big hem on top should make no difference at all.
You should be fine.
